On this page, you can find everything about items. Here you can find buttons leading to pages about a specific category, such as decorations or workbenches. Weapons and armor aren't shown here, they have their own page.
These three categories are much alike. The difference between resources and rare materials is how you can find them: resources can be found on the ground or on dead bodies, whereas rare materials can be found in bags, suitcases, crates and special events. Valuables are rare materials which can only be exchanged at traders, like Jewelry or Tokens of the Forest. Items that are used to craft things and can also be exchanged at traders, aren't shown here. Activators are items you need to activate (hence the name) decorations, such as Triad Ritual Candles or Nuts from the Plant.
The difference between food and consumables is the goal. Food (like Rosehip or Meat and Mushrooms) only restores, hunger, thirst and energy, whereas consumables (Rough Bandages or Hemostop) mostly restore health or negative effects. Booster food is a combination of both: it restores hunger, thirst and energy and it gives a positive effect. However, most of these items can only be obtained during special events, like Dim Sum in the Return of the Triad event. Artifacts are strange, non-existing items, like Azure Lazarus and Ebonite. Some of these have different effects, while others are only used for crafting or trading.
These items must be placed before you can use them. Floors and walls are, obviously, floors and walls. Windows, doors, upgraded floors and Christmas walls are also found here. Workbenches are buildings where you can process resources, like the Planing Bench or the Artifact Indentifier. Decorations are buildings, mostly obtained in events, and can give positive effects. To get a vehicle, you first need to build a frame and place it. Then you can gather resources and continue the construction. Afterwards, they are parked near your windmill and you can use them to take a ride.
