After many years of surviving on your own, the game now has Allies to keep you company! Of course, they also assist you in battle, scout Abandoned Shelters and help you defeat bosses. Read on to learn more about these new characters!
This page deals with general information about Allies. To learn about the new interface or ally equipment, click the buttons below.
These new allies will always follow you, wherever you go. You can bring a group of four allies with you at once, but only one will be your partner. You can switch between the four allies in the group by pressing the button. When an enemy targets you, the ally will start to attack it. It can't switch targets, though. When there are multiple enemies, it will focus on the first one, before going to the next. Also, these allies make use of an energy system as well. When they run out of energy, they simply stop shooting. They do, however, keep following you.

There are three rarities of allies: common, uncommon and rare. The higher the rarity, the better: higher max level, higher strength and more active and passive abilities. The common allies can be upgraded to level 40, the uncommon to level 80 and the rare to 120.
There are in total 27 different Allies, each with their own strength, skills and benefits. Their are grouped in their factions of origin: Undertakers' Turncoats, Decay Dissidents, Hybrids, Wastelands Outlaws, Forest Outcasts, Aberrations, Citadel Corps, Hawks and the Institute.
