On this page, you can find all kinds of information about the Stoker Facility and the 1429-S Specimen, such as how to unlock this location and the best strategies how to defeat the boss.
How to unlock
Before you can unlock this location, you'll first need to assemble your bicycle. Once you have build your bicycle, go to the Engineer's Post and talk to the trader C.H.A.P. near Splinter. He sells pieces of the coordinates of the Stoker Facility, in exchange for Crimson Ribbon artefacts. These artefacts can be obtained from the Ghoul Altars in the Warhouse. Once you have bought all twelve coordinate parts, the Stoker Facility appears on your map. But before you can enter the Stoker Facility, you have to collect at least one Stoker Facility Key, which will be stored in your PDA. These can be found in the Ghoul Altars in the Warehouse as well.

Walkthrough
Now that you're properly prepared, you can face the boss.
The first thing you have to do is to prepare your bicycle. Make sure you have enough grease for the trip, and put on a Cycling Bag if you have one. Also, I suggest you leave your ranged bicycle weapon and melee bicycle weapon, since you won't use them in the facility anyway. They are even a liability, for when you click on them accidentally, you run towards the boss and he can damage you. Also, if you don't have a Stoker Facility Key in your PDA, you can't get in. You can get those keys from Ghoul Altars in the Warehouse. The easiest one is the altar in the South Wing, but they also drop with chance in the Slammer. Once you got there, speak to Vein in front to buy any equipment or consumables you didn't have yet. Next, you have to open the door, using 1 Stoker Facility Key. Before the door opens, you can read a declaration from the Institute in which they explain that if you die, your items will be left at the entrance of the facility. Now you can enter.
Now that you're actually in the Stoker Facility, it's time to use your consumables. Use your Blood Transfusion and booster food and check if you're holding the right gun and equipment. Now, sneak up to the 1429-S Specimen. Once you shot at him once, the boss will start running after you, so start running as well. While you're kiting him, avoid stepping on Predatory Moss. Stepping on it will deplete the durability of your Pusher and your Cauterizer, so try to avoid it. Also, avoid his special attack, for it deals a lot of damage and restores his health at the same time.
Once he has only four health bars left, Stingers will spawn every now and then. Group them together and kill them using your Red Dragon Rocket Launcher. You can also take them out one by one, but more might spawn, blocking your path and overwhelming you in a matter of seconds. The boss' speed also increases, so you have to run a longer distance to be able to kite him. When he has only three health bars left, he can spawn Predatory Moss. Step aside quickly and continu shooting him, for he's standing still now. If you continu to kite him, pay attention to the new spots with Predatory Moss. This will fade eventually, but it takes some time. Also, every time you deplete one of his health bars, he gets faster. From the second health bar on, kiting gets nearly impossible. You can try to continue kiting him, but this is a lost cause once you're at his last health bar. From now on, start tanking using a melee weapon if you brought one. Do continue avoiding his special attacks, because they deal a lot of damage now.
After you killed the 1429-S Specimen (and possibly Stingers if you killed the specimen while they were alive), a Leecher will spawn. This enemy doesn't do that much damage, so you don't need to rush. Just take your throwing weapons and kill it. After you killed the Leecher, take the loot from the Institute container and walk out of the Stoker Facility like a true champion.
